Thanks for all your replies.
Yep, aware that the probability of an insurance company finding out is low but the consequence of that possibility is pretty eye-watering.
Our current insurer is a well-known name in the market for daily drivers and other irritations have led to a long and frustrating "discussion" and it was them that declined.
Still waiting for a non-fault claim on our Mrs g_d's car when it was parked and that was Feb 2023.
I had raised this post because I did not want to waste time.looking around for a specialist insurer who has already covered a contributor on here.
I will follow up Cherished (thanks MGB281) and also Adrian Flux who are the MGOC partners as soon as the claim is closed (should be this week).

Had Mark at Kmaps remap an ECU that I had spare. Very nice job except that my current insurers declined to cover me.
I am still running around on the un-remapped ECU on my 2005 TF 135.
Who have others used for remapped ECU insurers?

I had half a tank of unusable diesel (don't ask how).
Living on the outskirts of London, finding a farm was not very easy but the farmer was happy that I emptied it over his (unlit) bonfire.

I am still utterly banjaxed by the thought of any car maker employing that design.
Use it a reserve tank.
And releases around a UK roundabout not a Frence carrefour.......

What the hell is that?
is the tank really holding a bit of fuel in it that will never get out unless you drive it on the wall of death?

The fusebox diagram is a photocopy of the Rosetta Stone.
Completely meaningless to me. I resort to the guide on this site.
Not surprised you could not find the fault.

Reluctantly, the dealer who sold me my TF had to include a windstop in the deal as it was advertised as such.
But it was poor.
Made from one piece of perspex, the fixing holes were extensions of the main stop area, bent at 90 deg and attached to the T-bar with screws.
As soon as I took it up to 70mph a few times, the "turn" of the perspex started to crack and the whole sheet was put in the bin.
I now have this
MGF and MGTF Windbreak Screen
from Mike Satur and the beauty of the product is in the excellently machined hinges. They still attach to the T-bar with 3 screws but there is no chance for the perspex to crack. Not sure how much it will cost to post to Oz.

I think this photo is the driver side corner where the A-pillar, soft top and side window meet.
It is so macro that the ragtop looks like my old flat cap.
I have the same problem with my hardtop and plan to stuff a bit of neoprene between the front edge and the screen surround.
Would you consider this as a winter solution? It wont solve the summer/spring season and I have yet to see seals for the F/TF on sale.
I hope someone will reveal the source.......

Roverlike. I love the clarity. Something I will be doing next summer.
Thank you. Surely it is worthy of the How to Guides section if not there already.

Here is a view without knowing the details.
I have a good relationship with a very reliable nearby garage who is happy to do work on our cars or just an MOT with the same customer satsifaction.
They even encourage me to do my own work on our cars.
My TF failed on emissions and it has an after-market "short" CAT.
My mistake was to present the car relatively cold. The water was up to normal but the engine itself was not.
The garage principal told me that many modles of car suffer from the same problem. They are fine when fully warm.
Could this cause help you pass?.......

Yes, MGB821, a very good reply.
Is this already in the How To? If not, I think it should be.

Apologies RT. OC = Owners Club. MG Owner's Club or MG Car Club.
They publish the cars for sale on their web-sites.
Good luck.
But, seeing Len's work on here, might be worth following up.
