Black Deck Finshers now to match fuel cap. Not sure whether to keep them or not.

Some pictures from Italy - drove 2500 miles through the Stelvio and Gavia passes and down to Venice, before coming back through the Italian Lakes (Garda and Maggiore) throught Sempion Pass.

QS how easy is the fitting of the BMC CDA?

TF160 - Mike Satur 4-2-1 manifold, Sports Cat, Quad Daytona, Z and F Tuning Phase 2 Remap showing 177Bhp @ Janspeed RR day and a Big Grin :D (oh and a glass rear screen and bits of shiny stuff)

It's pretty straight forward one you take the old airbox out - just change the elbow for a silicon one and find a way to secure it.

Some other updates:

The car:
Battery has died. Not bad considering it's 10 years old (The original battery from the looks of things) I've swapped it for the one which came out of my Metro (A 540CA Diesel battery)

Fitted some Infinity component speakers to the front, along with a Genesis Profile 4 amp (fits neatly under the passenger seat) to drive them - stereo sounds so much better.

I've a Stage 1 Z&F ECU on at the moment - need to tidy up my Emerald wiring and fit that.

Fixed the heater resistor (what a PITA with AC!)

The mods - I've been collecting more parts :D
I now have 98% of 85SE suspension setup - thicker ARB's, uprated drop links, wishbones & ARB mount reinforcements. The Chinese MG reinforcements leave a little to be desired, so I've started to develop some of my own along with JoH. The only part of the setup I'm missing is the rear springs (which I may ditch in favour of the harder pre-05 springs anyway)

New cylinder head - I picked up a DVA worked head with +1mm Paul Iveys all round. It was previously running 1227 cams which are almost as hot as my 1444's so the cylinder head has been relieved to allow the cams to turn - the cam lobes are so tall (12mm lift) that they would hit the standard head casting! It's a slightly higher spec head than the Pete Burgess head I have (it only has +1mm Paul Ivey valves on the inlet side!

Still on the look out for a TF decat so I can weld a 340R sports cat in.

Trouble is the bore - I want 2 1/4" diameter. I think most of them on ebay are 2" and I don't want to pay the earth for something I'm going to hack up.

There's one off an elise S2 at the moment, but the seller is too idle to throw a ruler across the end of the pipe and take a guess as to whether it's 2" or 2 1/4"
