Have you had a phonecall from julie hartfield this afternoon.I have she established i add track expeirence the long and short is i am not aloud on with novices.
Was really looking forward to this i was bringing our show car, hence i was going to drive slow taking into consideration some people can feel intimidated on there first outing.
I understood it wasnt a race day but julie having none of it.
If thats silverstone rules i have to respect them and take it on the chin.

I Have just emailed Julie to see if she will reconsider.I was going to bring (bogey green mgf)so my intentions are clear not to show off, respect other drivers and not do anything to rock anybodys boat. Was looking forward with putting a few faces to the names on here a general chat and general day out.If i was misguided and thought this was a race i would not bring a 160 mgf.
I Hope she reconsiders.

Can't believe it :-?
Hope she reconsiders Glen.As you say you are not out to show off & put pressure on the others.
With the grotty weather forecast, I think every body will be taking it easy.
I had the same call, but as it's my first time, no probs. In hindsight, you should have have said you're an MG enthusiast, full stop.
We will meet up at noon as we have to sign in at 12.30.

Good news Julie rang me back and said i can go on intermediate at 13.35,to be fair to her she said she did explain this yesterday but in the rush of the mid afternoon workload i only seemed to take in the bit about you cannot go on the novice at 14.10.
I will still meet up with you guys and attend the 12.30 driver briefing.

We had an enjoyable day out despite the strong wind & showers.
There was 4 MG's in our session & the ZT was probably the fastest on the track, probably due to the driver not declaring previous experience ;)
I must admit to a little spin :(
Took the wrong line going into the corner & had to lift off.
Sorry we never met up Glen, but took a photo of you driving in the previous session.

Nice photo thankyou.I didnt enjoy myself,i took the mgf just incase i could get on novice but the lady on sign on was aware of the situation.Spent most of the time on the right getting out of the way of the clio rs,porsche cayenne, audi tt 225 just about everything spent little time on the drying line.

By lap 3 i had enough.
My Mgf felt terrible in the wet not the best car to be in considering the other cars i was on track with,i should of took the bmw.lots of understeer really had to wait to press hard on the throttle coming through especially woodcote.
I had to go gokarting to get let some steam off when i arrived back in the midlands.
I wondered where the silver t reg mgf went i saw you come in the pits then back out that elise was quick.
I had a massive 540 spin at maggots, hit a white line on the kerb no warning just lost it.
