We have had Rotties for over 25 years and they are wonderful dogs, sadly abused by the press. All of them have been rescued apart from the first.
We did also rescue a yellow lab from a fate worse than death, but he passed away two years ago.
We used to have a rescued Mynah Bird, who was a real character but had an unfortunate habit of attacking any man that came near him. With women he was lovely, but let a man anywhere within beak range and look out! It would end in blood.
We also have a tank full of tropical fish, and numerous very unofficial pets, otherwise known as 'those bloody mice!' As in -'those bloody mice have been chewing the the seal around the fridge door again!'
In addition we have three ponds, containing frogs, toads, newts, and goldfish. Some of the gold fish are rescued!

First he wouldn't get out the van, then I coaxed him out. He stuck to me like glue. Then nearly halfway round he backed into a bush and lay down. All you could see was his head. Managed to coax him out and get him back to the van, but he kept freezing. His poor little heart was going mad.
My last Border collie used to be 10x worse.

We did get sedatives for our last border collie one year and it just ended up with a very scared border collie that couldn't move. You could see in his eyes that he was out of it but still very scared. We were worried that he was actually not going to pull through.
