This is all now booked, after a few changes in attendees after some people, unfortunately, couldn't make it. The final line up of those who are going to be enjoying some Italian delights can be found on the first post.

Here are the links to the accommodation. I hope you will think it is suitable.

I will start looking early next year into accommodation at Dover, Ferry Prices and accommodation at Dijon. The cost of these will be in addition to the accommodation costs for the villas.

Only 8 1/2 months to go :woohoo:

I think this might be worth considering, make it easier when travelling to and from Italy on the toll roads.

I'm afraid I have bad news for everyone.

Just looked at the route we are taking after the crossing into Italy and I am afraid it seems to be mostly tunnels all the way. Some of them many miles long.

Mwa ha ha ha ha ha

Well, now all the festivities are over, and everyone is settling back into normal everyday life, it is time to start planning the next part of our trip, ferry crossings and accommodation en-route.

I have been looking into some of the costs and this is the information I have at the moment, although I am trying to get group discounts.

Premier Inn Dover Central (Eastern Ferry Terminal) – 2nd August 2012 - £71 for two sharing

Ferry Travel Dover Calais – per car with driver & passenger 9.00 am sailing 3rd August 2012 £130 (return price)

Campanile – Dijon Sud Overnight stay 3rd August 2012 E60.80 (£51.00)

Italy Accommodation 4th-11th August 2012 - £172 per person still to pay.

Campanile – Dijon Sud Overnight stay 11th August 2012 E60.80 (£51.00)

Return Ferry 12th August 2012.

Premier Inn Dover Central (Eastern Ferry Terminal) – 12th August 2012 - £71 for two sharing

Now, what I need to know from everyone is:

1) Are you planning to travel and return to and from the UK with the group on the dates shown?

2) Are you happy with the accommodation locations as shown above?

If people have other ideas regarding travel, the group will need to reach an agreement to allow me to book, otherwise I can book for the majority and anyone wanting to stay elsewhere or travel separately across the channel can book directly with the ferry/tunnel/accommodation operator.

Please could I have a reply from everyone letting me know their thoughts so that I can proceed with calculating costs and trying to get discounts?

Once we decide on the exact details, a payment per person will need to be paypalled to me of approximately £190. I can let you know the exact price once we have the (hopefully) discounted prices.

I know we are all busy people but a prompt reply would help me to get things moving to make sure we can get booked in.

Sarà una fantastica vacanza, Invasion Border Patrol Italia! :woohoo:
