The German supermarkets often have this gear. ie Aldi and Lidl. :yesnod:

The 'F' headlamp beam adapters,(which are unique) I got off ebay. TF doesn't need them as they haver an internal mech. to do the job.

I actually didn't change or adjust my lights at all. We mostly drove in the daytime and on the motorways. So, it wasn't an issue. Will you be driving much in the dark en route to, or whilst in Italy?

It could be an issue if you have xenons.

I don't actually know if we will be doing any driving in the dark, but I have a set of the beam adapters anyway. :yesnod:

I suppose we may need them if we go through any tunnels  . ;)

All this business about headlight beam deflectors has got me thinking. In nearly 30 years of coach driving all over europe I have never once fitted deflectors on my headlights. Even when taking the odd motoring holiday abroad i have not bothered and have never had a problem. Also how many european registered cars do you see in the uk with beam deflectors fitted because it works both ways. I have never seen one have you. Dont know what to suggest really but its not at the top of my list.

On our car, when we did the trip to Italy last time Clive just flicked some switch inside the lights I think, I suppose this must be something which is specific to the TF. :broon:

Yeah, the TF lights have a lever contraption to clip the beams. The F needs special covers with a shaped beam clipper shape on them.

Are we going to be doing any night driving, Anne?

It would be best to be prepared for it. We don't know how long any routes on the runs will be, so even if we don't on the journey to and from, we may when we are there. You should also consider inclement weather, we are going into the lake district, and you know what it can be like there ;)

Headlamp convertors are compulsory in both France and Italy.

These may be useful:

Why not try making your own?

As you know Clive, the 6 P's needed to be observed. Preparation and planning, prevents a p**s poor performance.

Better to have it and not use it, than need it and not have it. :broon:

Haha.. and I'm the guy that didn't take a spare wheel with him.
