Fitting an LE500 bumper to a TF
The pop rivet type guns are useless on the lager sized and stainless steel rivinuts also known as nut rivets, in fact the pop rvet typr guns are only really good for alloy rivinuts.....you get what you pay for!

I dont have an issue with the rectangular bit on a TF bumper to justify changing but I do prefer the LE's single level slot in the grille to the TFs double. It's a nice throw back to the earlier F.
Wondering how feasible it would be to modify a standard TF grille to a single level grille slot ?

I like that wink to the F, too, with the bigger badge between the single slots.
It's more "period", I think

I’ve seen a modified tf bumper where the central bars have been removed, it reminded me of Plug from the Bash Street Kids in the Beano.
There, that thought will deter you from getting the hacksaw out & spoiling a good bumper.

A car that looks like Plug wouldnt be a great look.
Did you mean they had removed the centre piece where the badge is, resulting in a full width horizontal slot or removing the plastic sections between the upper and lower slots ?

No, the two middle horizontals, creating a great gob with one Plug ugly central tooth. Beauty is, as is said, in the eye of the beholder.
I disagree in this case & a great many other cases. The one who considers the article to be beautiful can’t see the creation, he/she is in the car & can’t see it.
Those who have had their day ruined by such an abominable creation, are therefore well within their rights to pronounce on its looks.
Horrific
A show of hands on the PT Cruiser might solidify my point.

Yep, I'm visualising that now. If anything they may have been better at that stage to go bolder by removing the centre bit, tidy the edges, then some decent mesh to echo the MG RV8 look.
