Your getting very technical with the questions!! Spare looks normal size with a steel wheel not alloy does not look like a space saver (what's a vvc?)

Ahh now that makes sense!! It's not a 5 spoke alloy so does that mean its a space saver? If so then it's a space saver!!! But not a really skinny one!!;-p

Tony, the spare is a standard 14 inch steel wheel with a 175/65 R14 tyre (they tended to be Goodyear) they were about £60 new and are selling on ebay for £15 to £30
The alloys on the car are standard Six spokes fitted to the early 1.8 mpi MGFs they are not VVC wheels. they are worth between £25 and £50 each including roadworthy tyres (kim, (on this forum) picked up a set of four really scruffy ones for £50 with tyres, but they were rough, which didnt matter because her car was being scrapped))

Noticed a few missing items in my toolbag for the TF.

1. Bar that clips onto jack to spin the jack scissor thing up and down.
2. Wheel nut brace bar that takes nuts off.

In the event of a puncture i'd be pretty much screwed.

Fancy selling these two magic bits of metal?

Hi Again
Thanks for your reply.
If you could let me know the size of the rear tyres/wheels and the price you want that would be a help, as I am really only interested in those.
Also I could let you use my two rear wheels to take your car to the breakers if your wheels/tyres were ok for me.
I live reasonably close to where you live,( Hornchurch) so could come and view them.
Thanks again
Geoff

Geoff, the rear tyres should be 205/50 R15 i assume you are fitting these wheels to another MGF as the PCD is only suitable for the Fs, TFs and a few other Rover cars

Hi Geoff sounds like a plan if you want to come round to have a look you are welcome, I will try and take them off to have a good look, then I avian inspect the brakes as well not sure when I will have time at the moment probably be tomorrow night before I get back on the car.

On a side note had a fantastic morning today got up at 5:30am jumped in the Ferrari and drove over to see Bryan with his head lamps, I have not used the car since last year and over the winter did alot of work on the engine, so this was the first real chance to give it a test drive.
I am not the most experienced of mechanic and so am never too confident that I have done things right. However it drove ten times better than it ever has and I had a big grin the whole way round the M25 (don't hear that very often!!) got to see Bryan in his PJ's!! Then on the way home picked up this months practical classics and I'm in it!! Readers cars!! Unfortunatley at the time I was MG less, then to top it all off got to be childish through the dartford tunnel!!!!
