Colour change options, brighter, white light benefits also I suppose Gaz. I drove mine for 10 miles last night and only realised that I was no longer squinting at the dials when I got half a mile from home. It really makes a good deal of difference. :broon:

Sorry Watt. I must have missed this question in all the excitement. :)

Yes, the dimmer control still works as normal. I'm working nights at the moment and, whilst I'm no longer marvelling at this great little mods bright output, it really is a pleasant change to not even have to think about doing something to fix that old, dim yellow glow whilst squinting at the speedo. It really lights up your cockpit [strike]and the car instruments[/strike] on these dark winter mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights. :(

It's a half hour mod that's well worth the effort. :yesnod:

Nice one Jac114 for bringing this one to the table. The job's a good un! :broon:

Thanks for the guide, just did it in 20 minutes without removing the steering wheel (not an impossible job, just slightly more difficult).

I changed to blue on my F a year or so ago and hated it. I took it straight out but left the yellow lens out and white is miles better using the old bulbs. So when I got the TF I took that lens out as soon as I got home with it. With that and the coolant alarm its the best of all mods.

I was about to ask if the TF suffered the same problem

It had the same yellow shield, its a really easy job and looks much clearer.

One thing that really gets me is the poor illumination of the dials.

I'm really tempted to do this mod, but how does it look against the other 2 dials in the center console?
