KAFFENBAK

Hi all
Well who would like to go on a kaffenbak

As I don't want to appear dim, I will let someone else ask the obvious question

Ha ha A kaffenbak is were you go to a caff n go back [ home] instead of a pub There is a good one called the Ponderossa in NWales

Sounds good to me, but as tjdonc put it a bit far from Bournemouth. Perhaps we should do a south version

Decades ago when we lived in Cheshire the Blue Pool which is about 1/2 a mile beyond the Ponderosa Cafe on the Llangollen Pass was one of our winter training grounds along with Dorothea quarry; both old slate mines where our diving club (Warrington Sub Aqua) would take trainees over the winter months when it was too rough to go diving in the sea (normally Anglesey or the Llyn Peninsula) been diving in either? also used to be a nice pint in the Britannia Inn on the way up to the Ponderosa.

We would like to come for old times sake but now living in Falmouth is just a tad too far, enjoy the trip if you are going; also done some great walks in that area.

I love that part of the country so def interested. Only one I can't make is the 12th.

Yes we tried to set something up earlier this year but it coincided with the worst snowfall in history!!!

Wouldn't half mind a run up there soon. :broon:

There is a Charity run in aid of a hospice to Blackpool which we are thinking of attending on the 12th

Beth can't do the 12th

Saturdays are no good for us which leaves the 6th & 13th?.
