It would be interesting to track actual sales prices. As the gent in the video pointed out there are some at high end prices but that doesn't mean they will sell for that. The dearest one he showed was being sold by well known dealer Trophy Cars.

The likelihood of any of our cars becoming sought after in our time is slim, unless it is exceptional & has been owned from new by some celebrity or other, has a comprehensive service history & with documents signed be said celebrity.
Who cares, not me! I have sunk time & money into mine, far beyond its value. Who cares, not me. I’ve derived hours of pleasure both on the road & off, I wouldn’t swap it for much else. But who’s bothered, not I, I couldn’t give a tinkers fart. I can’t wait to finish the jobs I’ve set for the “off season” & I can get over the hills & far away.

PS the car I would swap it for would be a Lister Knobbly, an old one.

I came across that video today and noticed that some of the cars in it I was looking at when I was looking for a car.
I had contact with one of the sellers in that video to buy one of his cars.
I was waiting for an insurance claim payout but he sold it 2 days before I had received the money and I missed out.
Luckily I found my car on Ebay in a classified add and I am really pleased with the car I bought.
At my age I don't want to be chasing rust and my car is as rust free as you can get.
I'm not normally this lucky..

I am in the same mind as AP.
I have never bought any car with a view to making money out of it.
I buy them to enjoy both on the road and in the garage. If I do make money it is purely a byproduct of enjoying the car.
I have plans for shocks, brakes and a remap this summer and that's £1500 right there.
If it gets the car how I want it I will just shrug and smile when I drive it.
