Err, not a scooby! Does it have electrical sockets in it? How big is it? Is that a part number I can see on it?:dunno:

There's one electrical socket, I'll grab a quick pic in a second, and there's a part number on the top of 'FA031565' there's also one on the bottom of 'FA131338'.

here you go:

If I had to guess, I would say it is something aftermarket, like a tracker.

You aren't the only one though

Thanks for that CJJ, atleast I'm not the only one!
It just boggles me that it was randomly behind the kick panel like that :S
I've had another look and there's not even a place down there for it to fit, and no loose wires either.

Have you opened it up? I was wondering if it had a battery inside and the connector plugs are only used to set it up. Have to say, first thing I would have done would be to take it apart to see what is inside.

I thought, seeing as though I don't really know a lot about cars and their workings, that I'd leave it for now and let someone more experienced tell me what it was, but I may have a go at taking it apart later and see what its got going on in there :)

It does not tick, well, not audibly anyway!

I am in the process of taking it apart, I'll grab some pics of the inner workings and see if we can't figure out what this is!

In these past few days I have come to realise the true magnitude of your intelligence...

I cut the yellow, just to be on the safe side :dc:

aaaanyway, here are a couple of pics from inside the 'thing';

This is the circuit on the top, you can see the connector on the end just underneath the board;

and this is on the side, it's plugged into the underneath of the circuit (and is all sticky :dunno:);
