Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get a new rear screen/window fitted? Mine is still the original (2005 MGTF) and it cracked and split yesterday when I put the roof down for the first time this year! I’m just outside Brighton. Thanks in advance for any recs or suggestions!

If your rear window is the zip out type it can be replaced relatively easily. Doesnt need any special skills.
Undo the 5 up and over clips holding the rear of the hood to the body. The carpet covering the rear shelf area just needs to be pulled away at the rear to access them but this bit is easy.

With the rear of the hood lifted up you will now be able to see a line of very small rivets along the back edge of the hood. These would need to be drilled out (easier than it sounds as they are soft aluminium riivets). This seperates the bottom of the window from the hood assembly and it can be lifted away.
The new zip in window needs to be fitted in the same way. Rivet the bottom edge, reversing what you have done in removing the old one.. A small cheap Ebay DIY rivet tool and a handful of small rivets (the size for these is known and can be looked up) is all you need, cheap as chips and easy to use.
Then do up the 5 up and over clips. All done.

Try any of the specialist MG F / TF 2nd hand parts dealers such as Mgfntfbitz for a good serviceable zip out rear window.

Some people just swap the whole hood assembly for a good 2nd hand one as its an ever easier job. It then opens the possibility of having a glass rear screen instead which some see as a bit of an upgrade. The hood frame is only held on by 2 bolts each side and can be swapped in less than half an hour with 2 people.

As stated above, used options are cheaper. Changing the entire hood is probably easier (4 bolts, although it is a 2 person job as the top is heavy) than replacing the rear screen (about 12 rivets), although both are not too difficult.. There are youtube videos online to show you how to do either. In addition to MGFBITS, I have had good experience with the MGF Centre. Black is easiest to find used, other colors are much harder. You can search this site for the correct rivet size, or get a kit online.

If you are looking for a new replacement, this is the original manufacturer. Plastic is less expensive, but a rear glass window is much better. It can be heated as well (wiring for it is already in the car).
