I had to take it off AGAIN and got cheesed off with the awkward bludger.
Most difficult bolt (right front) I drilled out the cover to clear the bolt head and made a split washer.
Now all that needs to be done is loosed by a couple of turns and slide the washer out..
Next those ********  hood catches at the back.
Drilled them (Back 3) out (4mm), drilled the panel 5.5 mm and fitted rivnuts.  Now catches are held by 4 mm setscrews and can be removed in seconds.
Any trouble with the other two and they'll get the same.

Now cover just lift out and goes back easy peasy.  Ease front edge under TBar thingie and it drops in place.

Well done and well thought out.
A simple thing like changing plugs is a real pain due to that cover!

Good stuff, do all the clip, it really doesn’t take much longer to wizzzz them all out. Some of my clips were sodding impossible to keep clipped on, these I’ve
moved to a less taxing position & everything is sooooo much easier to clip up.
It’s not like simply lifting a bonnet but you are much less likely to put a job off, due to having to subdue those clips.

Just a product of either I take a piece of 2 X 4 to this bludger or find a cheap way to make it easy.
Being lazy and skint has it's benefits!
