Comparing the ECU with pictures of ones for sale on eBay suggests its a MEMs 2 :confused:

Home to black Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 V6 Q4 ,green MGF VVC and red MG Maestro T16.

If you have coil packs on top of the engine then you have MEMS3, if not then it will be MEMS 2J with the coil packs down under the inlet manifold. mPI's are MEMS 1.9

Yep all true, except mk2 MPIs (MY2000) are Mems 3.:yesnod:

But the coil packs on top of the plugs, under the cover on top of the engine, is the clincher. In other words, if you can't see any plug leads it's Mems 3.:whistle:
