The company is also able to arrange a club discount (not needing bulk purchase) if we provided an advertising spot for them on the site to showcase the dials.... which I think could be classed as a member benefit.

Happy to do a page for them, Infact may well create a new section on the site called showcase, for any others willing to do a deal

The showcase idea is exactly what I was going to talk to you about - would be a great way for us to get discounts for members and some select partners in the industry generally....

Sorry mate I'll leave it with you

sounds like a good deal I really reallyyyyyyyyy want these :)

No probs matey - they seem a really nice bunch at Visual Performance - hopefully we can negotiate something beneficial for members with them.

Your idea about UV is about the only way to make the needles show up - need to give it a go and see what happens. The only worry I have is that the UV bulbs may make the dial fronts fluoresce too...

One other option that might be worth investigating is a Tritium light source. They last ten years without needing to be charged up. Not sure how heavy they are and what effect mounting one on the needle would have.

Great find!

Need to use the 'green/yellow' or 'aqua blue' or the glow time is only a few hours (or even less than 1 hour for the red!).

What I'd really love is to be able to have a black panel button like a Saab. The only other convertible I've had was a '98 900 Convertible which was my first company car. It handled like a supertanker and made me look like a pimp (black with the big fat three spoke alloys and black leather) but the black panel button didn't just cut the lighting it actually turned off all the dials apart from the speedo. When you got over 4000rpm the rev counter lit up and the needle flew round and if you got to under a 1/4 of a tank the fuel gauge lit up.
A frightening amount of work must have gone into it but it really showed how distracting all the lights on the dash can be.

Hmmm I just noticed reading through the paint thing, it says its white normally

that might be a down side or I could just paint the edges of the needles

Yeah I noticed that, down the edges and a spot on the point would probably be the best option
