Loving the silver edging to the black stripes - really sets them off well!
Yes they lift the black.

cjj that bonnet is simply awesome, no prizes for guessing what the first mod to my next MGF will be.
broon beautiful car and I'm searching ebay as we speak looking for a start button.
Pysmon that piano black looks like a theme I could adopt.
Well as a newbie, when I first bought my MGF the Gear lever looked too long for my liking.
Cut the lever top to leave just about 10mm of thread, drilled out the lower section of the gear knob to get it over the wider part of the lever and cut about 3cm off the gear gaiter. The top of the knob is now no higher than the handbrake.
Neater, sportier and FOC
Next and continuing the stripe theme, after much deliberation, stripes to my spec - expertly fitted by my local sign writer £50 all in and 2m spare. They look even better in real life than they do in the photos. :silly: This has to be my favourite mod to date.
Other additions seen in the photos above - K&H spoiler of ebay £40, white painted wheels, paint and lacquer £14, colour matched Tahiti Blue trophy style lights, paint and lacquer £10.
A close second to the stripes comes the K&N 57i, what a sound :woohoo: it still makes be smile and when someone gets in who has never heard it the shock on their face when you floor it is priceless  another ebay buy, like new £35.
Great site - can see I'm going to be popping in regularly

PQD44,
I do like those stripes!
The more striped MGFs I see the more tempted I am to fit a set on my F, Andy.
I'm not in the running for best mod as I haven't done anything out of the ordinary but
in the couple of months I've had Andy I have.....fitted a front splitter, 52mm TB with a Pipercross Intake system (Sounds Great! :woohoo: ), Magnecor leads, fitted poly busings, Renovo'd the softtop, new Toyo T1-Rs, daytime running lights, Trophy headlamps (LHD), clear lenses on front and side lights, black background aftermarket tail;lights, 3rd brake light and clayed the car....Whew!
More to come when my Visa card recovers!
Cheers,
Rich

Thanks Ray!
I can honestly say I love my MGF!
I've been driving a 35 year old TR7 as my DD for the last 3 years and the F feels like an Aston after that!
I love the ride, the handling and all of the positive comments I get on the car.
I agree about the mugs. I would like to get my hands on one.
Are they available from Cafe Press (or similar) Simon?
Rich
This is certainly the MGF site with the best atmosphere. The club site is a bit too proper, and .org tends to be a bit
too snippy at times.(Although I frequent all 3)

Ray I agree with most of your comments but our stripes are individual I need to get my black hardtop painted to match the car and then get the stripes fitted so it's ready for next winter. I have also fitted stainless steel grills/sidevent grills and an MG windstop.
That T-Bar mug is a fine looking mug, a very nice mug, I'm sure I'm not in the running for a mug. Having seen some of the other mods done I was thinking of waiting till next month to post when the competition for the mug may be less, I would treasure that mug if I had a mug like that. That mug is ...... I must stop thinking about that mug.
Rich
If you think the stripes look good in the photos then when you see it in real life you'll definitely go for them. My advice would be go for it but do have them fitted by a professional. If you go to a vehicle sign writer you can get them to make you stripes to your exact specification and like you I have had many positive comments since getting the car but since the stripes people have all said the stripes realy look good on the MGF.
Must agree with you on the mug, I would also like to get my hands on one of those mugs. Atmosphere on here is great and let's face it the other sites do not have mugs which look as good as the T-Bar mug...... oops I started about the mug again.
