Not being electronically or solder minded I went straight out and bought one of Andy Capy's Lolarm II Units for Ted..
Clear instructions, simple to install, it works.
Result.

Here is another novel circuit which I have designed for a Low Coolant Warning.
I have modified this circuit due to a prob;em with PIV of the LED. Needs looking in to. Meanwhile this circuit will work with 1 LED as warning.
The built in time delay is 15 secs which I have found to illiminate any false alarms.
The total cost to build is under a tenner and is fun as a hobby.
LED ref is WL84F
All components available from Maplin.
