Mesh is best!
Makes a BIG difference when travelling at speed on one of those days (neither cool or red hot).
Stops all the wind in the eyes but not in the hair - perfect

Which one do you have? (I suppose I'll have to go and look at your car again now  ) Any advice? Other than buy one! :)

Anyway, I bought one of those perspex windstops off of fleabay. If it doesn't do what it says on the tin I've a cunning backup plan to borrow my dads old mesh one off his decrepid mgf and test it. Totally forgot he'd got one.

The only concern I have with the fixed position perspex screen is that it may be more difficult to hoike the roof up from the drivers seat. I'll suck it and see.

If it's a similar size to the mesh then shouldn'i be a problem - in fact, it's much easier to pull the roof over with it raised anyway.

Windstop came and fitting took about 2 minutes. The pics are from ebay as my camera's in NY with my youngest daughter.

The difference is quite simply 'amazing' with the widows up or down, and I can still throw it down and hoike it back up from a sitting position in the drivers seat :)

Cheers for all the advice and comments y'all. :broon:

looks good Leigh. can you use the tonneau with it as it looks from the pictures like it uses the tonneau pegs for fitment?

Well, it looks and performs great I must say. I'm going for a drive shortly to see if it makes the cockpit warmer. I shouldn't invite the use of double entendres here too much :).

I do have a tonneau and it does use the pegs and I'm never, ever going to use it. Not even to try it out. Although, I believe, having seen pics of another car with one, that the tonneau can still be used no problem, if required. The roof is down more than it's up with me. I know when I had my peugeot 306 cabrio that out of 365 journeys of 25 miles each, the roof was down for 300 of those.

My back window is perfect too. But I'll break it soon enough. I can't be doing with zips.

My window is the same, although the top is looking a bit worn in spots. I am looking at a BAS top to replace mine, and even toying with the idea of one of their "Speedster" tops to do away with the zipper altogether. They are not cheap but I do have 3 or 4 months before autumn strikes to talk myself into it! (They make them in Maroon as well-even better!)
