Car pictured is the De Tomaso Pantera.
The MG XPower SV (originally MG X80 concept car 2001) was developed from the Qvale Mangusta, which in turn was developed from the De Tomaso Bigua, as the project was sold to MG in 2001, the upgraded power version being the XPower SV-R.

Isn't the picture clue a De Tomaso Pantera which then lead to the Bigua and then the X80 and SV as described by Tui?

Car 1 the pictured car is the De Tomaso Pantera
this lead to the Qvale Mangusta and then on to the MG SV.
 OK the next link is rather clutching at straws but here we go...
Alejandro de Tomaso also owned the Nuova Innocenti group and reversing date order, Innocenti had produced the Innocenti Spyder which was based on the Austin-Healey MKII Sprite, as was the MG Mk I Midget

It was the Bigua that followed the Pantera, that was developed in partnership with Qvale. The Bigua got renamed the Mangusta as producation started - and then De Tomaso and Qvale parted company. The car was then rebadged as Qvale Mangusta. Qvale was bought by MG and the Mangusta was used as the basis for the MG Xpower SV.
But I think Tui had most of this!

You must be talking the Jensen Healey then? Kjell Qvell became a shareholder in Jensen. His son Bruce was the one who went into partnership with De Tomaso, and who set up Qvell Motors.
Any good?
