It's difficult to photograph the filled areas so I have tried to show it on this photo. The red areas are filled and smoothed.Polo;6117 wrote: Dont worry if you have fitted them - I will shove more filler in tonight..!!

They look just like I wanted them. As if they were OEM.
And I think they are a definite aesthetic improvement on the originals!:yesnod:

Yep, with the blending they do look OEM.
You just need to get them caked in mud to match the rest of the car now................:lolm:

Something for the weekend? Or a colour change to suit your mood perhaps?

It's just that, as you know I bought two sets of scoops. Really in case I made a complete dog's dinner of one set.Polo;6140 wrote: Something for the weekend? Or a colour change to suit your mood perhaps?
So I have a set of scoops and the set of intakes I've just removed. Seems a shame not to unite them really.
Hopefully what I've learned with the first set will mean an easier job, and better final product. But....:dunno:
As you say though, Maybe a red set for special events?:snow:
Oh, before I forget, the easiest way to refit the scooped intake is to put both screws into the lugs before you try to fit the intake. Screw them in so that there is maybe two or three full turns left to full insertion.
This means that the sharp end of the screw is protruding through the lug by nearly half the length of the screw.
Then offer the intake up and locate the screws in the spring clips and using a long thin screwdriver push the screws into the clips. Then you need only screw the screws in the remaining amount to secure the intake.
I hope that makes sense. If not, ask and I'll try put some pics up of what I mean.
This method is so much easier than trying to get that top screw in with the intake already in place, believe me! :yesnod:
