Well David, the scoops went well up to the point of applying the lacquer. I got overrun on the lacquer and will have to rub down and start again..!!

Don't worry about it.
I think I applied the paint, and then had to rub down and repaint, at least 4 times!

One thing I will do different this time is to fill in more of the bottom end(sharp end) of the scoop. As, at the moment, I notice I have a bit of a muck trap inside there.

That is one bit I think I got right - I put quite a bit of filler inside the bottom of the scoop and smoothed it out so that any water caught in the scoop can easily get out.

The scoops are complete - I rubbed down and reapplied the lacquer. Once that dried I fitted the mesh.

Original air intake surrounds




New scooped intakes




I cant wait now to get these fitted to the car, but that will have to wait until Wednesday night - pics to follow....................
