Certainly needs investigation. you can get mayo in the oil circuit from condensation, but the other way round it must be oil getting where it shouldnt be
Whats the history of the car? Have you been using it and its been fine or just got it? If the latter it could be oil from a previous episode still in the system.

Clean it all off, go on the run. Check everytime you stop! (LET IT COOL DOWN BEFORE REMOVING CAP)Take your AA card. Take extra coolant.

It's possible that a good run will flush it all out, fingers crossed.

seconded, pay even closer than usual attention to oil and water temp gauges. i would remove this froth and if you get no more it was historic. You can get a water vacumn check and an oil sniff for exhaust gases.

I'd cautiously agree with the clean and observe, but personally I wouldn't want to be too far from home during the investigation!! Oil in coolant is never a good sign imo, as well as the obvious, aspects such as internal hose rot etc.

If you do the run and all is well on your return I'll be really happy to be wrong!!

Good luck!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Well done about about 75 miles watching the temps had it at 90 then after a bit went to 120 then back down to 90 and froth gone .... Spoke to Dave and kayleigh they said it could be early signs of hgf but might take a while to go proper. Coolant alarm install now is a next essential
