Posted 12 years 1 month ago #82345I could probably do that Jan. Feel free to pm me that quote if you like. How much notice would he need? Does he fix dents, if needs be?.. Anyway, I'm still waiting for a reply to my ebay email at the moment.Softly~Softly wrote: Leigh my lad will fit it if you can get over to mine for a very reasonable price, half what you will pay a fitter :broon:

Posted 12 years 1 month ago #82353Hi Leigh, Definitely looks as though the box has been damaged in transit. Appologise for the inconvenience and will get another backbox out today via TNT Next Day Delivery. If you would wrap the damaged backbox up in the original packaging we will also arrange collection, I will email you the shipping label and documents.
Mike had a look at the pictures and it looks as though it's just the outlet pipe which is damaged and can be quite easily straightened but appreciate the fact that the it should not be damaged.
Hope that you receive the replacement backbox in its intended condition and you are happy with the above. Any problems please let us know.
Kind regards
Mandy

Not really David. No. Undamaged goods are a right I believe.
Someone has to be in for the postman tomorrow now and I've missed my appointment with the garage and can't get in until Saturday. Express courier delivery is part of the sale price (£14.34). So, I co-ordinated my day in the week for fitting. It's all very nice to send me a new one straight out but I have to ask my good lady to repack the old one. I'm hardly smiling about being the first damaged delivery in 3 years.
The experience so far hasn't overly impressed me.
Assuming the new one is ok. Let's hope it's worth the hassle it's been so far.

Leigh, it has been unfortunate, but in truth you're not the first person to ever receive something damaged in transit. MS has sent you out a replacement straight away, so he has dealt with it asap best he could.
The rest of your story is exactly why I said you could have fitted the one received and been grinning from ear to ear by now with an exhaust you're probably going to keep for the life of the car anyway. I'm sure MS would have given you something to make up for the very small hassle of bending the tip of a pipe.
This time next week this will all be a distant memory blotted out by ..vvVVVVRRRRrrooooooooooommmmmmm
