This only applies to the large glass BAS hood, I have a BAS hood with small glass and no zip, works fine.

If John (or Jake) would be so kind, would you measure the size of the glass in your panel along with the total depth of the panel & the depth of material top & bottom of the glass?

I got hold of a glass screen last month & it sounds very like yours, with the wrap around wings & all. Haven't done anything with it yet but I have it with a trimmer currently getting the zip etc transferred over from my plastic screen.

TIA

Hi sent Jake out with a tape this morning but he went for a wee instead so I had to do it.
To avoid the problems I had I would cut the wings off to the same size as your old panel and transfer the velcro over to the new one. This will give you a seal either side of the window.
I will be doing this to mine but it will be trickier as it is now fitted.
And if yours has two strips of elastic under the window, I cut these out as they seem to do nothing except pull the material out of the riveted strip.

All in inches

That's great, thanks. Already getting the wings cut off, not sure about the elastic bit, I'll have to check, but don't think there is.

I'll also have to get in touch with the trimmer to measure it up on Monday, he's swapping the zip & Velcro over next week.

Nice diagram too :)

The two, three or five strips of 50mm elastic were to pull it away from the T-Bar when folded...

About as good an idea as those wings then as the hood can't be folded zipped and without the elastic the window drops into the parcel shelf no bother.
They just put strain on the cloth at the rivets as they are positioned in between rivets.
