Account deleted after a month ?

I went to post on the forum yesterday and check my PMs to find my login failed, showing as invalid username & password. Ive setup a new account just to get back on and found all my old posts are now shown as being posted by 'G' with visitor status . No sign of my username on those posts.

Can anyone advise what has happened, Ive not said or done anything controversial so know i wont have been banned. Should i now use the new account name and forget about my old posts and start again or can my account be reinstated ?

Nah you’ve not been banned, probably just some sort of glitch………in this post you’re showing as Notanumber on my screen

yes, thats the new account Ive setup today to post this. I just went with a similar name just without the underscores. All my previous posts as Not_A_Number now have G visitor against them instead of my username so are not easy to find.

I did a search for the username Not_A_Number and yes all your posts came up with only “G” as the username and visitor under that.

Definitely some glitch somewhere, hopefully we can resolve it.

The fact that all those posts showed up under that search, shows that the system associates those posts with that username but doesn’t show it

Funnily I was looking on here Sun and saw a post with G and underneath "visitor" and I thought do we have visitors? if we do where's the tea and biscuits

Is there any hope i will get my old username and posts back or should i forget it and just run with the new username ?

Id love to understand what caused this so i can make sure it doesnt happen to this new account next

I've no idea what happened there, no sign of the old account, so i won't be able to recover that, I'll see if I can find a way to relink your posts to the new account
