Hi all
As any one used lanolin products as a rust inhibitor on their MGs. Any pros and cons and advice would be welcome. Tia

It’ll certainly keep your hands soft. It’s a byproduct of the wool industry I believe & you don’t see many sheep rusting away. It’s promoted as a “green “ alternative to waxoil, however it depends on how much processing it has to go through before you slap it on your sills.
I would be a bit wary, the car has enough problems without giving it warble fly or scrapie.

The same teem were working to cross sheep with wallabies, ending up with woolly jumpers.

That was a little tongue in cheek & not very helpful, my son has had some experience with this & has given positive reports. I’ve a gallon on waxoyl in the workshop so it could be a while before I need to restock, whether I’d choose lanolin or not would depend on whether I still retain rational thought.

A manufacturer promoting their own product, but on another MG (USA)forum that I visit the use of lanolin rust prevention is widespread. I had never heard of it until then.
