TF front lower grill

Hello all,
do I need to remove the front bumper to fit a new lower grill ?
Or can it be fitted with the bumper in situ ?

You'll need to remove it , to get to the screws that keep the grill in place , 10 screws in total.

Removing the bumper, you've got the M10 Star bolts at the front, Screws along the Slam panel, and a couple where the bumper meets the wings.

oddly, Ive had 2 front subframes off and a front wing off but never removed a front bumper yet. Is it do able with 1 person and a trolley jack in half an hour or does it need to be done with 2 people ?

Easily a one man Job and entirely possible in half an hour,  If you've got fog lights remember to unplug those.

I have since found a you tube video on removal, assuming the screws are not too rusted under the wings I should be ok.

There is also a mounting in the middle of the bumper adjacent to the back lip, mine had been left off before but I replaced it when I put the bumper back on. It's also a good idea to have some padding (old duvet, pillows, cushions etc) to lay the bumper on to prevent scratching the paintwork.

It came off no problem, I did need to peel back the inner panels slightly to get in.
It also gave me an opportunity to black the inner black panel.


I used Rover clips and screws from the owners club and the finished article looks good.

I noticed the inner support bracket was a bit rusty on the surface so that got some rustcure while I was on.
