It does stop fluid sitting in the jets, so that their is less chance of frozen jets in the Winter.😅

The alarm has a mind of it's own. It goes off on it"s own accord.
Saturday unlocked car on key fob, tentatively opened drivers door, ok, unlocked boot and pulled bonnet release, ok, lifted bonnet and removed spare wheel tools, ok, got my trolleyjack and lifted front wheel of the car to remove brake pads...halfway through looking at the pads the alarm goes off and the horn is deafening.
I understand the alarm and immobiliser are deeply entrenched in the ECU.
I don't need an alarm, don't care about insurers, just want rid of it.
If I were to wire the horn directly to the button so I am legal would disconnecting the wires from it mess with the ECU and cause problems?
Never, ever had a car with alarm or imobilser problems.
So far it has gone off when I have been next to it. What if it goes off in town and the bomb squad blow it up?!
Help please.

Failing all else, yes you certainly could make up a simple circuit from the steering wheel buttons to the horn. It would need a relay in there because the wire from the buttons is too thin to take the current. Shout if you want any information about going that route but I hope you can cure the problem without the need for it

Yes the boot wiring is in perfect condition..as new.
I have checked bonnet switch, new key fob battery and resynced, doors lock and unlock cleanly and I make sure I switch ignition on and off after unlocking to let system know all is ok. It never fails to start.
I am nervous about opening the boot or bonnet!
It just goes off when least expected and one day it will go off in a car park alone.
I'm willing to try any suggestions as to a possible cause before I do without it.
Thank you for your help with the horn.

I am unsure whether it maintains residue protection or if it’s benign when the alarm is “off”.
My only connection with it “sorry for the pun” was whilst designing a remote opening system for the boot. Once I’d recognised the function, I circumvented the system to allow me to design an override spoof.
I didn’t need to go further in & so I’m unable to answer my own question.
Armed with this info might allow you not only to sort your problem but to help all the other, now hairless members, who have suffered the same troubles.

You could well be on to something. When I bought the car I opened the boot with the key without having to turn the alarm off. I just thought that's how it was. One day I opened it and the alarm went off! Could well be that micro switch sticking.
I do want to try to sort it because I simply would like the car functioning correctly.
