Even at this Yule tide you’ll have to face reality, no matter how hard it is to come to terms with. Sobbing over another’s disappointments illustrates your compassionate side but if you listen very carefully you’ll be able to hear a solitary giggle & it could be Bruce imbibing an excellent single malt bought with the proceeds of his labours.
Your tears will only soggy the yoke log & no one wants a soggy log.

I've heard tell that there are some folk that quite enjoy being beat with suitably stiff twigs! So one should check before issuing such a punishment, as it may be taken as a reward.

Although I've not heard of soggy log enthusiasts, but it would come of no great surprise to hear that there are folk with such interests.

What you do with consenting adults in the privacy of your own home is entirely you own business! 😳🤣

Limp celery? No that reference does not compute, the flying goggles does however.
When attached to the appropriate flying helmet & Irvin jacket, these can be warn & with great pride on Battle of Britain day.
My ensemble flew in defence of the realm during the “hostilities”, not by a family member, my dad handed his back (mad bugger), they were given to me a long time ago & are treasured, representing all that was sacrificed by ordinary men & women who did extraordinary things.
I could go on but I’ll let you ponder. I know some of you chaps & blokes are no fans of Christmas but those years of toil were to maintain amongst other things the Christian ethos. You may argue the facts however the ethos is indisputable.
