Did we ever have a 'my first car' thread?

Well, my first car was a VW Derby.
Ugly and boring with whopping 40HP.
But it gave me unlimited freedom, I spent hours just driving around listening to music cassettes...

1937 Standard 8 tourer - with hood & wooden floorboards.
Took my test in it when hand signals were mandatory. There was a canvas flap under the side screens, which you stuck your hand out to give appropriate signal.
Could have been the V sign for all the examiner knew :P
