Saws
Hello.
Very sorry to trouble you on this issue.
Can you tell me if the boys at SAW's are still doing their thing.
I have tried to message both facebook and internet site with no joy. and a general post on this forum.
Any news info much appreciated and will not bother you any further on this.
Thank you.

I think someone else wasn't able to contact them recently, I don't know if they had any luck though, sorry I can't be of more help.
I don't even know where they are/were located (i'm on the other side of the world) maybe one of the members might live near by and could do a drive by to see if they are still about.

I did a company search and as far as the UK government website goes, they are still registered and operating, maybe the person who handle all the internet is away. unfortunately like so many businesses these days they over rely on the internet. and if that falls over they are buggered, I dunno whats wrong with the good old fashioned phone as a back up.

This wont answer your question, but I sent my ECU to Mark at Kmaps last Monday, it was back in the car and running by Wednesday lunchtime.
Better throttle response, smoother engine and an improved exhaust note (even with a TT Mk7!)

The thing is, a remap from KMaps is appealing but, having bought pscan, the SAWS remap is an even more attractive proposition being £100 less expensive. Plus, for us southerners with a pscan, we don't have to drive halfway up the country to get the job done.
I have also looked on the SAWS website. There seems to be little information about the pscan map. If you click on the 'buy online' button, it takes you straight to PayPal. No option to choose the vehicle appears. Given the talk here of poor communication, I'm not about to make the payment.
On the subject of remaps, both SAWS and KMaps show dyno graphs for the TF but, being unfamiliar with this witchcraft, I have no idea what they mean. The SAWS graph shows 2 lines. Presumably one is bhp and the other is torque but it is not clear which is which or how they compare with the standard. The Kmaps graph shows 6 lines but this isn't clear either. Presumably, it is trying to show an approximate power increase of 10% and torque increase of about 50%. But why are there 6 lines on the graph?

Evening all,
For those wondering, we're still active but not currently pushing on socials etc as 1) the two man team has become 1 due to family commitments, and 2) I'm currently going through some changes in the day job so that's taking more of my attention until that settles down hopefully in early new year.
I thought I had responded to all but one Facebook queries, but seems I missed something. Apologies for that, I'll go through it again now.

We did have a phone number at one point. It got turned off after I kept getting calls asking me at late hours on Friday/Saturday/Sunday night asking "which airfilter is best" or "how do I fit spark plugs" and then phoning back every time they experienced a problem. So it became a "free diagnostics helpline" rather than a business device.I did a company search and as far as the UK government website goes, they are still registered and operating, maybe the person who handle all the internet is away. unfortunately like so many businesses these days they over rely on the internet. and if that falls over they are buggered, I dunno whats wrong with the good old fashioned phone as a back up.

The line that goes from bottom left to top right is typically HP on our graphs, if there's two then it's before/after.The SAWS graph shows 2 lines. Left to right in a more horizontal fashion is torque. Again normally before/after
