I thought I`d finishes spraying ,but found a blemish on the rear O/S wing I tried to blend some spray in but it wasn`t to be .Silver is the hardest colour to match ,if your spraying the sides of a car ,each panel individually , you`re lucky if they match . First of all ,Merry Christmas to all on the forum My internet has been off ,since 28th November due to the "wonderful "service of talktalk .More later .Ive nearly finished the restoration of my TF and Ive been staring it every week or so ,however when I tried a few days ago all I got when I turned the key to start ,was a continuous two tone sound .This happened two or three times then it started .It has done this a couple of times so far.Any help please .There are no warning lights on the dash.
Back to the internet,I lost the signal on the 28th Nov and phoned TalkTalk to report the fault .4 hours later my call was answered and 40 minutes later ,I was told the router was faulty and a new one would be sent also the line would be checked out .The new router came to internet Open Reach came out and checked the line and said it was spot on and the fault was with talktalk I tried to phone again and after 2 hours gave up I then tried a different number and a recorded voice asked whet the problem was I said internet and the voice asked in what way.I replied no internet .I was then told to go online and log into my account to report the fault !!!! How you can do this without the internet is beyond me.So ive changed to BT. The phone soon rang to ask why and you can guess my answer Happy New Year to all ,answers to my problem gratefully received Len

Hello much better to remove rust etc,with a wire wheel in an angle grinder this will not remove good metal, which a grinding wheel in an angle grinder will .Then treat it with a good rust preventor and the U/C ant paint as normal Len

More cutting with the Farecla and polishing mop and I found more work needed on rear O/S wing .I found a mark on it a while ago and blew more base coat over it I thought I had blended it in but it possible to see the two shades of paint .So I wanted more to do ,now to respray the wing completely with base coat and lacquer . ,Nothing else to do these dark nights Len

It has taken many hours to get it right and lots of years learning how to spray .As you said someone is going to get a nice car .The insurance quotes along with road tax ,just doesn`t make it worth keeping for the amount I would use it .Ive never kept a car once finished as I used the money to buy another project ,except for the " BENTLEY " COPY " I built I had my fun out of that . .However due to age and health problems its a different reason to keep it .I would still like to find a non too difficult project ,if I can convince my wife its physio therapy Back to using the electric polisher and Faracla Len

Finally finished flatting paintwork down ,with 2000 wet and dry . Cut bonnet front bumper and front wings with Farecla G3 and an electric mop ,I`ll possibly give it another pass over with the G3 and mop then give it a good wax polish iM SURE ill find more to do but Its given me pleasure .Also had the pleasure of meeting David who kindly brought some hood renovator for me ,this shows the advantage ,of being in a forum Len

Morning I think I have just about finished spraying , now there is the long task of flatting and polishing the body work .Once the dirty work is finished I need to smarten the hood fabric .Its in good condition but when I bought the car is was "grubby" and with all the work being done over the past year its not looking good .What`s the best way of cleaning the fabric and restoring the black colour to it Len
