Exactly DD. Leave this sort of thing to us serious modders......
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

But to get 160 on an MPI engine.. you'd need..
Well.. robbed directly from guru Dave Andrews web site..
Similar to the 145BHP kit but including work to your cylinder head to improve volumetric efficiency. Gives large gains in torque and much better drivability. Kit comes ready mapped but the ECU is entirely user programmable. Head retains standard valve sizes and is on an exchange basis.
Comprises
Pair Piper fast-road cams (choice of 4 profiles)
Emerald 32bit K6 ECU (ECU comes with manual software and cable and has map switching capability)
Porting work to your cylinder head
Appropriate oil seals, sealants etc.
Latest type head gasket, head bolts and manifold gaskets
Price of Kit £1850
Fitting above kit to EU2 Caterham seven £425
Fitting above kit to EU2 Lotus Elise £465
Fitting above kit to MGF/ZR £495
For Elise/MGF/ZR with air conditioning add £100 to fitting costs
For EU3 engines add £120 to fitting costs
Verniers for above kit £260 (includes fitting and setting cam timing if kit being fitted)
So.. if that engine made anywhere near 160 bhp.. whip the cam belt cover off and look at the pulleys.. Verniers? Look on the end of the cam shafts for the numbers (285 etc)
Got an Emerald ECU with it?
Take a close up pic.. or even better measure with a vernier gauge the inlet ports..
Unless someone has spent a lot of money on that engine.. its 120-135 bhp im afraid..
Ask for your money back!

Its a real 160 HP engine! (2004 TF 160)
But its an TF160 engine with no VVC mechanics or something like that,
I will send pics soon!! :yesnod:
This is the TF160 2004 engine I bought from a company 2 years ago.. I paid £600 for everything you see in the pic.. plus fob, ECU, immobiliser unit and engine loom
The engine number checked out as a 160.. and when the head came off it the pistons had the correct markings on the top
Compare the pics of this genuine TF160 engine to the pics of your engine..
Only trying to help

The engine numbers i believe will not determine if its a 160. After the 1.8KF i think the the next three digits example 4FP or 4FN were a code of only any use to powertrain and final build i think the dress code as they were all assembled in subframe with gearbox and loom etc then fitted in the CAB buildings.

Someone posted a link to the engine numbers.. and mine matched the 160 numbers..
When the engine was stripped for Hellier/Scholar to do their bit it did indeed say 160 on each piston..
Cant for the life of me find the link on dot org.. or remember who posted the link

He just checked the numbers on the engine and its an 160 ,
It got the right cams with the numbers on it ,
Like on this picture
He says , that the ecu (computer ) will generate higher REV limits
I get an ecu swap to , so i believe he's right (bought many stuff from him and always good)
When i get my car back i will check ,
I think i need to find a company that can dyno my car so we are sure !
Thanks for helping guys,
Im not an engine expert
