Border Patrol is just the name Clive chose for the group of us who own Fs or TFs and come together to drive around the border between England and Scotland.

The badge you will see is based on that of the US Border Patrol Police force.

It would be what you call the Police who guard Italy's borders with other countries.

Organisation is progressing well for this run and I have actually ended up with two alternatives for a route.
The first one is this route

Unique highlights being Grange in Borrowdale, Derwent Water, Whinlatter pass, Live Osprey view cam, Pencil Museum, and Brougham Castle.

The alternative is this one , which includes Hardknott and Wrynose Passes to Wastwater, and then back over Hardknott and Wrynose, but misses out on Keswick Pencil Museum and the Osprey viewing.

Unique highlights being Elterwater, Wrynose Pass, Hardknott Roman Fort, Hardknott Pass, and Wast Water.

So which of these would the participants prefer?
To some extent we could 'pick and mix' dependant on time.
If someone especially wants a feature not in their preferred run, let me know.

I can't believe no one has a preference for one route over the other.
Anyway, here's a view of the road from near the top of Hardknott Pass.
Safety Note: notice the complete lack of barriers!

Hit that cow you and could have a nasty accident, but lets face it the odds of hitting it are remote.

Choices, choices, choices.......scrap that last choice, only two. I'll get the ball rolling and cast a vote for route 2, the second one, based purely on the fact we don't visit a pencil museum :yesnod:

They look great and I think you need to update the list of attendees to include Saul.

I agree - don't see the point of a pencil museum.
