Nice try, mate!

You seriously want to argue sheep identification with a Cumbrian!

That little fellow is one of our famous hardy Herdwick sheep. A calf of that size, or even most cows, wouldn't survive on that grazing!

 You were talking about THAT sheep, the one in the foreground, Sorry David I was referring to the cow in the distance.

Was the picture showing Hardknott down into Eskdale taken during rush hour? Hope you have arranged for us to get there when it's quiet ;)

Yeah, shocking traffic jam...

The picture is taken from Google map streetview.
You can do a virtual drive over the route(s) on your computer. It's brilliant and well worth a look if you haven't before!

Mmmm ... a virtual Border Patrol Run, funny you should say that, Saul came home after a frustrating day at school today and said I could do with another MG day out to put me back in a good mood :cheer:

Obviously no substitute for the real thing but probably a good idea and gives you a way of finding out what sights (and bends) to look out for,

SEE POST 1

After the stunning success of the Scotland week. This has been extended to doing both runs over the weekend. One on Saturday, One on Sunday. Hopefully enough will stay over to have an edukeshunol evening.

The Saturday run is the biggie and takes in Hardknott and Wrynose passes among others.

Sunday's run will be shorter and will finish around 15:00-16:00 hrs to allow you to get back home at a reasonable hour.

You are all welcome to come on both or either run(s). Just let me know what you want :yesnod:
