Right, I've added Black bullet to the prob/poss. category.

I'd be grateful if those in that same category could let me know -one way or the other - by Friday next.
Just to let you all know that I have ordered a bright warm sunny day with a few little fluffy white clouds to enhance photography for both Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th.Although packing waterproofs wouldn't be silly.

Last time we did the lakes run we all took a picnic to avoid lake District prices and crush.
We can do the same this time or find a pub at lunchtime. What do people prefer?

Fantastic drive with great people. Very wet though.

Having to engage first gear to climb a 1 in 3 hill, while a waterfall was running down the road towards you was...interesting! Apparently that was the wettest place in Britain yesterday!

Sunday run soon and the booked good weather has finally arrived, blue skies and Mr Sun beating down! :woohoo:
See you all at 10:00. Today we get to see the lakes, rather than drive under them. :woohoo:

I have to disagree. I played golf in the rain yesterday and my waterproofs weren't up to the job which made my nether regions most definitely the wettest place in Britain

Enjoy today's sun and don't forget the camera!!

:woohoo: What a difference a day makes B)

Firstly I wish to thank David for organising such a fantastic weekend, planning such wonderful routes and adapting plans to suit the weather and peoples requests. We had a fantastic day out and it was a real pleasure meeting you and Merlin.

So to the day, the day after the torrential day, it was a weekend of two halves.

No Rain only.....

The started rather cloudy.... :P

But as promised we soon caught sight of lakes

As you can see it was still very wet in places from the rain on Saturday

(bottom right hand)

We were treated to beautiful views of the more lakes and mountains

and more lakes

Quick country lanes

With frequent stops to enjoy the view and have a relaxed chat

to be continued....
