I have got a original mg boot rack for mine but 2 of the supports had broken, have sourced another rack the same but the seller has lost the keys to the lock. I am just wondering if anyone knows of a way to remove the lock without the key and not taking the entire rack to a locksmith. ( the lock itself won't be reused as my other rack has the lock) i don't really need as such to remove it urgently anyway as only got it to take 2 of the mounts off it.
thanks

Posted 6 months 2 weeks ago #221208Interesting to hear of the racing experience. Can you clarify if that involved racing MG Midgets on track days or trying to outrun people of limited height ?

The one made by Thule wasn't branded as such.

Posted 6 months 2 weeks ago #221224I wouldn’t have thought it would be a “Man from Uncle” job to drill it out or it you have a hole saw of the correct size, you could diligently ziz around the barrel periphery, either sawing or melting it out, depending on how sharp your saw is.
