You can see the actual readings from the two O2 sensors and the coolant temp sensor. This is invaluable information.

The TF had been neglected prior to my getting it & as I need to over winter it away from home it required all the non productive money stuff doing (MOT, tax & insurance). I had a good look at the front end & found a fair amount of steel dandruff, especially on the wish bones & so now being a £150 less wealthy I put it in for MOT, expecting it to be picked up on something I'd missed: it sailed through with a clean sheet. Happy days.
