flat and polish - what's the trick ?
Hi I'm now having the same problem that you experienced with the two can system. So have you solved the problem you were grappling with on this paint/gloss issue? I'm beginning to wish I'd gone with just a single can mix the same as when I done a small job on my F. Glyn.

I gave up, flattened it down again and went over it again with the remainder of the base coat can. Then I ordered a can of single coat gloss which provided much better results immediately.
Im starting to wonder if it's the high temperature which is working against us with the seperate laquer coat. Perhaps the laquer is drying immediately on contact with the bodywork which is making it matte straight away.

Thanks for replying, that's exactly what I'm thinking of doing now, as I had a reasonable degree of success with the single can on the F. As you say it could be to do with the hot weather. G
