I had a hair comb once with Bronco toilet paper over it, made a lovely sound and your lips tingle! Trouble is you can't seem to get Bronco toilet paper now, youngsters nowadays miss out on such a lot!!

When you consider that Fender was a radio tech with no musical ability & with the help of a few friends & business associates managed to produce what would become a standard. By the marriage of pickups made for arch tops & their associate treble cut tone/volume & a simply switch, this became the blueprint for what was to follow.
The bolt on neck, a brilliant first guess shape, more chance meetings & players wanting to use them than any company deserved & all “before breakfast”.
He hadn’t thought about building the Stratocaster & the Telecaster was still the Broadcaster.
And as far as I can recall; the rest is history.
