Yes mate it was a trip I always wanted to do and in a car that was amazing, its hard to get rid of her but I have a Rover BRM as well and I can't afford to keep 2 cars and my work van

I recognised the terrain.
I travel up to my sons Hotel on that route quite a lot but I am always in my van because I go to garden, paint or general repairs and I always have my tools with me etc.
I am going up soon in my TF for the first time and I am so looking forward to it. Minimal tools this time.
From my home to Inverness there are some fantastic roads long before I get to the 500..I hope it's a dry day!

If it were me I would knock up a home made tool box to fit a boot rack.
