Sorry for delay in next question. Darned clients interrupting.

I was shakin all over when I saw this, it's almost always true
It's the MGA from the 1961 Elvis film Blue Hawaii
The car is in the Graceland museum in Memphis Tennessee.
The MGA has some non-standard modifications, but it's not in pristine condition. It is what it is, one of Elvis's sports cars, on display just as he left it. It has the appearance (paint, condition, etc) of an MGA you might find on a used car lot in the late 60's or early 70's. One of the songs in the movie in which both Elvis and the MGA played a star role was "Almost always true"

I was going to put a song title down and use that as the question, but I couldn't seem to find one that linked to when he sang in the mg. Im so glad you've answered that one for me :woohoo:

I was on 15GBUH10101 - miles away (as usual - planet Zog) switching between Namgar.com, Mgato.com and all points East, West, North and South. Well done PQD44 Will we see anything before dinner or is it Basketball, Swimming and Fencing with Saul tonight? I'm out to a dinner so as late as possible suits (pun - black tie and trimmings one) me!!

Well you guys have had a busy day. Some great questions again.
OK what about this one
I would like you to tell the good folk of T-Bar MG Quiz land five things;
1.) The exact model?
2.) When and where was this car first seen?
3.) What is unique about the car?
4.) How many of the distinguishing insignia are original?
5.) Should this car have ever been sold in the first place?
Good luck

Good try Red Devil.
Think you may need a few more clues
The car was cleaned up and has only done just over 8,000 genuine miles since new
Nobody could find it for years.
Problem with this is it never had a luggage rack and the seats are the wrong colour :dry:
Happy hunting

An interesting answer Red Devil, but unfortunately not correct.
The car in question was not a prototype or a race car.
Another clue;
The car in question was produced over 10 years after George Phillips Special Edition MG TD

The rear light cluster looks like a 1600 Mk2 although 1) the photo is indistinct and 2) I have just got in from "a dinner"
Would it be the 1000000 MG - 1600 Mk2
March 1962 just before the last one was produced.
Not enough answers but a start?
