:nonod: Blimey I leave you guys and gals for a couple of days and you've broken it :P

Pendle lass - your clues must have been too obvious?

Right, well here goes, an answer to 'When was it taken, Where was it taken, who was there including passengers and what run was it?' ;

When - 1st August 2009
Where - A field, oh where is the field - near Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Who - Iain160Trophy, Mindy, Pendle lass, Preeti, Darren, Cjj + mud
What run was it - Harrogate run

Not sure of all the details and there were probably others on the run but hopefully that's near enough for you Tracy.

A new question just to get the ball rolling again;

Simple - Name the car, what is different about it? Few details would be nice. Happy hunting ;)

Ah. That TD has two many seats!

This car was developed by J. S. Inskip Inc, a US importer and distributor of MGs. The American market wanted a 4 seater version of the TD but MG was unable to provide this. So inskip carried out the work needed to create a 'new' car themselves. This included lengthening the chassis, drive shaft and brakes lines. Fabricating new running boards and doors and fitting front and rear seats. A Lion radiator was added to each car. There were 12 made in all and Im assuming the one pictured is TD 23255? The car is equipped with the chrome side spear unique to the Inskip, tear drop running boards, wire wheels, chrome luggage rack, fog lamps, tripod headlamps and a complete set of side curtains.

Congratulations on achieving 30k plus views on the MG Quiz. Good effort to all 'the regulars' involved. :broon:
Lots of guests 'play' here and many of the members pop in for a nose from time to time as well. If this continues, it could well become quite popular. :)

:woohoo: rog1963 well done - .... and normal service has been resumed :woohoo:

:hugs: Thanks Leigh, yes the MG Quiz does have a regular following of participants but also receives hundreds of views everyday from interested watchers, who should not be shy, come on in and have a go. It's all for fun and you learn a lot about the wonderful history of MG, but be warned it can get addictive.

1. Rene Kimber is driving and 2. this was the first advertisement to feature the octagonal MG badge as we know it today.

The image is actually the third advertisement, but appeared in The Morris Owner of may 1924, and features a Raworth 2-seater.

Great question, Roger, I had to do some reading and that is what the quiz is all about. :broon:

Ok, for a quick one to get the quiz flowing again and if I am offline for a few hours, I am sure a few of the regulars on here will know if the answer's correct so feel free to move it on.

The question:
Twice in the history of MG, the model names used resulted in what are known as the Triple M cars or the MMM cars.

Please name the six models for which the M is abbreviated.

I'm going to say the late 20's, 30's Midget, Magnette and Magna followed by the 80's Metro, Maestro and Montego.

Ok...

Name the MG that was advertised as faster than a Ferrari, and what was the Ferrari?
