MG Y type
8,336 “Y” Types had been produced, the breakdown being: 6,151 “YA”s, 1,301 “YB”s and 877 “YT” Tourers

46bhp - the YT Tourer (with the higher lift camshaft and twin carburettors) develop 54 bhp

Unless the number you were after was "about 9" which is the Y Types imported into Switzerland and converted to cabriolets? The car shown was Swiss and originally used by the military...

The car is a YT 4 seater Tourer.
877 were built.
All the Y types used the XPAG 1250cc engine, which in the Tourer was tunred to give out 54.4 bhp
The tourer was only built for two years, 1948 - 1950
The MG YT 4-seat tourer was designed for the American market. The YT adopted independent front suspension with coil springs and wishbones from inception while the TC continued the pre-war T-series' leaf sprung solid front axle. Only a few righthand drive YTs were built, the rest were delivered for export with lefthand drive. Supercharging was a popular way of extracting additional power from the MG XPAG engine with many aftermarket units available.
