ok this is about an engine
the engine was in several cars

so part 1 name the engine and cc
part 2 what was the typical carberation for the engine
part 3 what was the performace up grade added by tuners
part 4 where did rover BL and mg origionaly get the design from
parts 1,2 are realy easy if you can get part 4 then part 3 will follow
good luck on this and i know the enginne inside and out it was in my most cherised car and on the forum i posted some of the info over time

Mark - I am NOT a technician, magician, engineer so I am going to give part (I think) of the answer for sombody else to finish
Engine:-
Originally the Buick 215 aluminium V8 (itself a copy of a post war BMW V8 ??.) purchased by Rover in 1965
Developed into Rover 3528cc V8 originally fitted with twin SU's (the original’s were improved over time in design and size including HIF6’s)
(Zenith CD 2S carburettors on a special manifold for Land Rovers originally)
MGB V8 - SU HIF6 twin carburettors
Power upgrades vi S.U., Holley, and EFI solutions – which ones – I haven’t the faintest – when I open the bonnet I have a minor heart attack!!
So - the origin and engine size, where it came from (it did not, orginally, go in the Triumph Stag - that was Triumph's own V8 but did supplant it) - the original carburetion used in MGB GT V8 and MGR V8 (although the engine was developed to 3950cc for the later), Triumph TR8 and the later Triumph Stags.
I will leave sombody else to give "tuning" data and they can win First Prize. :woohoo:
