5. Ken's prototype Red MGB roadster fitted with an Oldsmobile 215 engine was finished in December 1969, the next conversion was a GT using the Rover P6 engine. Real production didnt start until 1970 when he set up the new company with 8 employees.

Electrics switched to negative ground 1968 and, therefore, bulbs instead of candles used in all lighting??

Was it 1969 when the dyslexic one eyed Albanian (of Welsh descent) chrome grill fabricator was replaced by a trained “technician” and 18 grill uprights where put on both the right and left hand side of the central grill upright instead of 17 to the right and 18 to the left?
