Would it be the first production MGB roadster, exhibited at The London Motor Show in Sept 1962 (Earls Court) built to USA spec (with rare overdrive) later re-imported back to the UK and re-converted to R/H drive in 1973? If so, who, where, when what else I am stumped at!! :-?

(I threw in Longbridge earlier as I wanted to check/see if you were
1) getting hungover
2) hungover
3) totally hungover) :P

I may be old but I’m not senile:-
It’s just that I can’t remember whether it’s Alzheimer’s or Amnesia

THESE ARE THE EXACT DETAILS FOR THIS SPECIAL MGB ~ Hopefully we will see her again at the MGB50 event on 23 September.

MG Ex-Works Show Car built in 1968 by BMC ex-works and Special Tuning section for the London Motor Show. Originally USA specification and was displayed at the show on a rotating spit. The Lilac Metallic paint is the original colour.
The present owner acquired the car in 1973 and was rebuilt for road use in 1974 and 2002.
All of these details have been taken from the display board in the photo.

It is interesting that the registration number 413 GWT given by the DVLA shows a 1963 Purple MGB issued on 4th December 1963 in Leeds. (although an “A” prefix was used for the first time from 1st January 1963, not all Councils used this until 1967 when it became mandatory to use the appropriate prefix))

OVER TO YOU FOR THE NEXT MG QUESTION

It always amazes me where you get all this information from. SWMBO (whilst out at Bridge most nights) thinks I exist for Golf (day) and MG Quiz (nights). She's not far out!! :nonod:

So this next question (two parts) is from my research so should be available to "googleities" !! :broon:

The pictures are taken from an official web site.

1) Which country and 2) what official organisation?

1) It has near neighbours – one that sounds like it could be used to pay for something that is now illegal to buy (unless before 1947) whilst shipping on a similar sounding liner.
It had early links with the Portuguese, Dutch, Danes, Swedes and the British. :-?

2) It is not in Leytonstone – that’s a joke by the way for anyone born, living or dead in Leytonstone!!

A tenuous MG link - maybe but hopefully informative and shows how the “new” MG is available in parts of the World we might think are behind us? B)

Happy googleing

Thanks for the challenge Ted. OK here goes

1) The country is The Republic of Ghana

2) The organisation the Ghana Police service

New Question
Assuming I was correct here is a nice easy one, no cryptic clues, which everyone here can get the answer to.

All you have to do is;

(1) state the minimum kerbweight (kg) of a MGF 1.8 MPi manual transmission and

2) give the missing dimensions, A - J, in meters from the diagram below.

Good luck

Gets up - gobsmacked  - was it THAT easy :-? , I thought it might have taken a bit longer than 2 hours? Oh so correct I will not elaborate on my hint/clues - no need. Isn't it suprising that in Ghana they have such a choice?

Well done Paul I expect some people will have set about 4 new ones at that rate by the time I get back from golf (wet, windy, and top most definitely ON) :yesnod:

:woohoo:

The question does seem "too easy" there must be a catch somewhere

I will leave it for a while to give someone else a chance to get it wrong!!!!!! at least till Ted gets back from his "wet and windy golf" dries off and gets back to the challenge.

rog1963, very good just a few of errors

A, B and C

Two of them look like a typo but the other, you should not believe everything you read on the /www.mgcars.org.uk/MGF/mgfspec website, I assumed that's where you got it as it's the first site that comes up from a google of MGF dimensions.

Think about headroom does 2' 3" sound right ?
