I got it, whilst you were posting this :rant: In October 1968 (1969 model year) the front wing was changed, which brought the indicators closer to the grill opening?

Thank you to Mr Forgetful for making me think "outside the box" about an uneven grille.

Could it be one built for the London Motor Show at Earls Court in 1962 - given to Princess Margaret for Court Use and thus unregistered, built by - - well I'm back to my Albanian immigrant

Any clues on this Bryan ... I'm intrigued now.
