Going to let you have it Chris, well done.

Between 1945 and 1980 there were

898,988 MG sports cars
44,936 MG Saloon cars

Making a total of 943,924 MG's

There were also

180,181 Austin Healeys
19,834 Riley
20,014 Morris Minor Travellers and vans

Hence the grand total was 1,163,953 vehicles.

After moving to Abingdon in 1929 there were a total of 965,741 MG's produced there before the gates closed in 1980.

Chris over to you.

The car above was a prototype. What was it known as? who designed it?

Some other cars were built using the bodyshell design, but each one was mechanically different.

How many were there? and I'd like the code name for each one, along with who built it, and some mechanical details (engine and drivetrain)

Who commissioned the build of these cars (the department name)?

Lastly who was involved in testing these cars? (it's a definite person in the company's history)

Thanks Chris. I'll leave this one for someone else. If you're after inspiration on the T-Bar about this you could always read my signature.

OK I'm now going to make things very easy by giving some clues to the last 2 questions.

The initials of the department involved was RSP

The person responsible for the testing later went on to be criticised with some justification in his later role at the company.

I won't be giving away any more clues as all the other answers can be found easily.

I can't believe I've answered 32 questions. That's 32 new questions I've now set. I've known the answer to several more. The only reason I've not answered more is that I'm finding it hard to come up with new questions.
